Harry Potter and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Chapter House
Founded by Salazar Slytherin, Slytherin was known for its ambition and self-preservation. Slytherin also gained a bad reputation for being self-centered and vicious. Slytherin actually had the highest number of Death Eaters.

The common room of the Slytherin was situated below the Black Lake. It had rough stone walls and silver lamps that hung from the ceiling. It is famous for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Slytherin was a noble House, while Gryffindor was famous for its rivalry with Slytherin. Hufflepuff was the least noble of the four houses. It was known for its values in loyalty, patience and perseverance.

Hogwarts is the home of all students during the academic year. Students live in dormitories, and can sleep in large four-poster beds. Professors teach students. Students can socialise at the tables of the House. Notice boards are placed in strategic locations around the school.

Library

The Chamber of Secrets lies deep beneath Hogwarts school. It also houses to the ancient Basilisk. When Dumbledore’s Army is sacked by the enemy, the Chamber is left open. It contains floor cushions for defensive spells as well as Dark Detectors. The Chamber is also home to an immortal memory of Tom Riddle, who was killed by Harry Potter.

Two serpents are also found in the Chamber of Secrets. They have been carved into solid wall of this Room. They have emerald-colored eyes. They are believed to have been summoned by Tom Riddle.
