The Sorting Hat can also be used to determine what house a student should live in. It is able to read a wearer’s mind and react to their thoughts. It can even speak to them. It is also used to determine the House a student belongs to and to present the Sword of Gryffindor to those who are worthy.
Required Room
The Room of Requirement was a important part of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. It was not only the place where Harry received his first (and final) horcrux but it was also the place where Voldemort found his lost diadem. In actuality, the Room of Requirement was so mysterious that it took the best part of the year for Dumbledore to uncover its sinister past.
The room is also home to various odd-looking artifacts like the Sorting Hat, a sapient artifact that is its own. It also contains the legilimen, a device that uses legitmization to read minds. Hogwarts is a big home for all students during the academic year. Students reside in dormitories and sleep in four-poster beds. Students are taught by professors. There are tables in the House, where students can socialise. Notice boards are placed in strategic locations around school.
Library

They can also grow the Devil’s Snare which is a large snake that can attack anyone who enters this Chamber. The Chamber also has an arachnid-scratching faucet. Fang, a giant boarhound that is black is resident in the Chamber. He is more friendly than Mrs. Norris.
The Slytherin dormitory is located inside the Dungeon. The room is green with carved armchairs. It also houses an image of Salazar Slytherin. The room is decorated with green lamps and a greenish glow.
The Hufflepuff dormitory is a comfortable, sunny room with low ceilings. It has plants hanging from the ceiling. It also has a huge common room. The house animal is the badger. The badger is believed to represent the family gathering. Nearly headless Nick is also a ghost that haunts the House.
There are a few shortcuts to take you from the school to the castle. They aren’t always simple, however. These are often hidden by tapestry or an entry that is hidden.
