Salazar Slytherin built the Chamber of Secrets before he left Hogwarts. It was designed to rid Hogwarts of students born to the Muggle race. Voldemort believed he had won the final battle and was planning to force all Hogwarts students to Slytherin. He died before he could finish his plan.

The Chamber of Secrets lies deep beneath Hogwarts school. It is home to the old Basilisk. The Chamber is left open when Dumbledore’s army is betrayed. It has floor cushions to use defensive spells and Dark Detectors. The Chamber is also the home of an embodied memory of Tom Riddle, who was killed by Harry Potter.

The Chamber of Secrets is also the home of two serpents carved into the solid wall of the Room. They have eyes that are emerald-colored. They are believed to be summoned by Tom Riddle. They also have the ability to grow the Devil’s Snare which is a large snake that can attack anyone who enters this Chamber. The Chamber also has a snake-scratching faucet. There are a few routes that can be used to take you from the school up to the castle. These are not always easy however. They are usually hidden behind tapestry or a hidden entrance. These short-cuts can only be access by House members. The secret entrance to Hufflepuff is behind barrels. It’s also under the spell, so tap the barrel with a rhythm to open an edgy chute.

The Dark Room is the place where Dumbledore’s Army gathers. It is also the location of many of the battles in the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore presents his case for Harry’s defense. It also contains floor cushions for defensive spells, as well as volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.

There are also secret entrances into four House dormitories. These secret entrances are also hidden from the outside and require an account number and password. These entrances are used by members of the House.
