Hogwarts, an amazing school for children wizards, is located in the Scottish Highlands. It was founded in the 10th century to protect wizards against Muggle persecution. Hogwarts is one of the most sought-after private boarding schools in Britain. The school is situated in the Forbidden Forest that is also known as the Dark Forest.

Hogwarts is full of secrets. Some of these secrets are hidden from the outside like the Chamber of Secrets. Some are well-known and often used, like the Leaky Cauldron Restaurant and Gringotts Money Exchange.

Salazar Slytherin constructed the Chamber of Secrets before he left Hogwarts. It was designed to purge the school’s students who were Muggle-born. Voldemort believed that he had won the last battle and planned to enslave all of Hogwarts’ students into Slytherin. He passed away before he could finish his plan.

The Chamber of Secrets is deep under Hogwarts’ school. It is also the home to the ancient Basilisk. When Dumbledore’s Army is sacked, the Chamber is left open. It also houses floor cushions that can be used to defend against Dark Detectors and defensive spells. The Chamber is also home to an embodied memory of Tom Riddle, who was killed by Harry Potter.

Two serpents can also be found in the Chamber of Secrets. They have been carved into solid wall of this Room. They have emerald eyes. They are believed to be summoned by Tom Riddle. They are also able to create the Devil’s Snare, a large snake that is a threat to anyone who enters the Chamber. The Chamber also has a snake-scratching faucet. It also houses the huge black boarhound Fang. He is more friendly than Mrs. Norris.

The dungeon is home to the Slytherin dormitory. The room is decorated with armchairs carved and green. It also has a statue of Salazar Slytherin. The room has green lamps and an eerie green glow.

The Hufflepuff dormitory has low ceilings and is a relaxing bright and sunny place. The plant life hangs from its ceiling. It also has a large common room. The animal that is housed in the house is the badger. The badger is believed to represent family gatherings. The House also has a ghost known as Nearly Headless Nick.

There are a few shortcuts to take you from the school to the castle. They aren’t always easy to locate however. They are usually hidden behind tapestry or by an entry that is hidden. Some of these short-cuts are only available to members of the House. Behind barrels lies the secret access to Hufflepuff. It’s also under the spell so tap the barrel to open a slimy chute.

The Dark Room is the place where Dumbledore’s army meets. It is the scene of numerous battles in the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore lays out his case for Harry’s defense. It contains floor cushions for defensive spells, as well as volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.

There are also secret entrances into four House dormitories. These are also hidden from the outside, and require a password or ritual. These entrances are only used by members of the House.
