Sorting hat
During the first year at Hogwarts, each student is assigned one of the houses according to their personality traits. The Sorting Hat takes care of the heavy lifting and places students in the best House to test their personality. It’s a great way for one to test their strengths and weaknesses.

The Sorting Hat is a clever enchanted object. It was invented by J.K. Rowling and pays tribute to the magician’s hat which was the property of Godric Gryffindor. It is also used by the Founders of Hogwarts to decide which students they will place in their Houses.

The Sorting Hat also serves a number of functions beyond the decision of the house to which a student should be assigned. It can read the wearer’s mind, respond to the wearer’s thoughts, and even talk to the wearer. It can also be used to determine the House in which a student is from and to present the Sword of Gryffindor only to those who have the qualifications.

Required Room
The Room of Requirement was a crucial part of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. Aside from it providing Harry with his first (and final) horocracy It was also the place the place where Voldemort’s diadem, which was lost, was hidden. In actual fact the Room of Requirement was so mysterious that it took the most enigmatic part of the year for Dumbledore to unmask its nefarious past.

The area is also home to various odd-looking artifacts, including the Sorting Hat, a sapient artifact in its own right. It also contains the legilimen, a device that uses legitmization in order to read minds. This isn’t an easy task but it has been accomplished by a few.
