The Sorting Hat is clever and magical. It was created by J.K. Rowling, and is a reference to the magician’s hat, which was owned by Godric Gryffindor. It is also used by Hogwarts’ Founders of Hogwarts to decide which students they will place in their Houses.

The Sorting Hat also serves a number of functions beyond the simple task of determining the house to which a student should be assigned. It can read the wearer’s thoughts, respond to the wearer’s thoughts, and even speak to the wearer. It can be used to determine the House in which a student is from and to present the Sword of Gryffindor only to those who have the qualifications.

Room of Requirement
The Room of Requirement was a important part of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. It was not just the place where Harry got his first (and final) horcrux but it was also the place the location where Voldemort discovered his diadem that he had lost. In fact the Room of Requirement was so mysterious that it took the most enigmatic part of a year Dumbledore to unmask its nefarious past.

The room also houses a range of odd-looking artifacts like the Sorting Hat, which is a sapient artifact. The hat also houses the legilimen, which utilizes legitmization to read minds. This is a challenging task however it has been accomplished by a handful.

Chapter House
Salazar Slytherin created Slytherin. The founder of Slytherin was known to be ambitious and self-protective. Slytherin was also known for being cruel and selfish. Slytherin actually produced the most Death Eaters.

Library

Two serpents are also found in the Chamber of Secrets. They have been carved into solid wall of the Room. They have emerald eyes. They are believed to have been summoned by Tom Riddle. They can also grow the Devil’s Snare which is a large snake that attacks anyone who enters this Chamber. The Chamber also houses the snake-scratching tap. Fang is a massive boarhound that is black is resident in the Chamber. He is more friendly than Mrs. Norris.

The Slytherin dormitory is situated inside the dungeon. The room is adorned with armchairs carved and green. It also houses an image of Salazar Slytherin. The room has green lamps and an eerie green glow.

The Hufflepuff dormitory is a comfortable, sunny room with low ceilings. The plants hang from the ceiling. It also has a large common room. The badger is the house animal. The badger is believed to be a symbol of family gatherings. Nearly headless Nick is also a ghost that haunts the House.

There are several shortcuts that can be used to get from the school up to the castle. These are not always easy to find however. They are usually hidden behind tapestry or an entry that is hidden. Some of these shortcuts are only available to members of the House. Behind barrels lies the secret entry point to Hufflepuff. It’s also under spell, so when you tap the barrel in the same rhythm it will open a slimy chute.

The Dark Room is the place where Dumbledore’s Army meets. It is also the location of many of the battles in the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore presents his case for Harry’s defense. It has floor cushions for defensive spells as well as volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.

There are also secret entrances to four dormitories of the House. They are also kept from the outside, and require a password or a ritual. These are the entrances used by the members of that House.
