The area is also home to various odd-looking artifacts, including the Sorting Hat, a sapient artifact of its own. The hat also features the legilimen, which uses legitmization to read minds. Some of these shortcuts are only available to members of the House. Behind barrels is the secret entrance to Hufflepuff. It’s also under the spell so tap the barrel to let a slimy chute.

The Dark Room is where Dumbledore’s Army meets. It is also the location of many battles in the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore debates for Harry’s defense. It also contains floor cushions for defensive spells and volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.

There are also secret entrances to four House dormitories. They are also kept from outside and require a password or a ritual. These entrances are used by the members of that House.
