Harry Potter and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

The Sorting Hat also performs various other tasks, in addition to the decision of which house a student needs to be assigned. It is able to read the wearer’s mind and respond to their thoughts. It can even talk to them. It is also used to determine which House a student belongs to and to award the Sword of Gryffindor to those who are worthy of it.

Room of Requirement
The Room of Requirement was a key aspect of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. In addition to providing Harry with his first (and final) horocracy, it was also the place where Voldemort’s diadem, which was lost, was kept. The Room of Requirement was so obscure that it took Dumbledore nearly a year to uncover its dark past.

The Slytherin common room was located beneath the Black Lake, and had rough stone walls and silver lamps hanging from the ceiling. It is famous for its breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Slytherin was an opulent House, and Gryffindor was famous for its rivalry with Slytherin. Hufflepuff is the most petty of the four houses, was known for its virtues of loyalty, patience and perseverance.

Hogwarts is the place where all students reside during the academic year. Students reside in dormitories and sleep in large four-poster beds. Professors teach students. Students can gather at the House tables. There are also notice boards located in strategic places within the school.

Library
