Harry Potter and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

The Sorting Hat is imaginative and magical. It was invented by J.K. Rowling and pays tribute to the magician’s hat that belonged to Godric Gryffindor. It is also used by the Founders of Hogwarts to decide the students to put in their Houses.

The Sorting Hat can be used to determine which house a student is best placed in. It is able to read the wearer’s thoughts and respond to their thoughts. It is even able to speak to them. It can also be used to determine the House a student belongs to, and to present the Sword of Gryffindor to those who are worthy.

Room of Requirement
During Harry’s time at Hogwarts, the Room of Requirement played a important role in the Harry Potter series. In addition to the fact that it provided Harry with his first (and final) horocracy and a horcrux, it also served as the location the place where Voldemort’s diadem, which was lost, was hidden. In actual fact the Room of Requirement was so mysterious that it took the most enigmatic part of a year for Dumbledore to uncover its sinister past.

Library

There are also secret entrances into four House dormitories. They are also hidden from the outside, and require a password or a ritual. These entrances are used by the members of that House.
