The Sorting Hat is creative and magical. It was created by J.K. Rowling, and is a reference to the magician’s hat, which was owned by Godric Gryffindor. It is also used by the Founders of Hogwarts to decide which students they will place in their Houses.

The Sorting Hat also performs many other functions, besides determining which house a student should be assigned. It can read the wearer’s mind and respond to their thoughts. It can even talk to them. It is also used to determine the House a student belongs to, and to present the Sword of Gryffindor to those who are worthy of it.

Room of Requirement
The Room of Requirement was a crucial part of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. It was not only the place where Harry got his first (and final) horcrux but also where Voldemort discovered his diadem. The Room of Requirement was so obscure that it took Dumbledore almost a year to uncover its dark past.

The area is also home to an array of oddball artifacts like the Sorting Hat, a sapient artifact of its own. The hat also boasts an legilimen that utilizes legitmization to read minds. While this is a harder task than many wizards would like you to believe it is actually only performed by a few.

Chapter House
Founded by Salazar Slytherin, Slytherin was known for its self-preservation and ambition. Slytherin also earned a bad reputation for being self-centred and a vicious. In fact, Slytherin produced the most Death Eaters.

The common room of the Slytherin was located below the Black Lake. It had rough stone walls and silver lamps hanging from its ceiling. It is famous for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Slytherin was a noble House and Gryffindor was well-known for its rivalry to Slytherin. Hufflepuff was the least noble of all four houses. It was known for its values in loyalty, patience , and hard work.

Hogwarts is a large house for all students during the academic year. Students live in dormitories, and sleep in large four-poster beds. Professors teach students. Students can gather at the tables of the House. Notice boards are placed in strategic places around the school.

Library

The library is divided into five stories of bookshelves. The first story is the main room which is lit by natural light via stained glass and stained-glass windows. The ceiling is a whopping 65 feet high.

The headmaster’s office is located on the second floor. It also houses the Charms classroom. The third story has the Reading Room. This room is the only space in the library that is silent.
