Some of these short-cuts are only available to members of the House. Behind barrels lies the secret access to Hufflepuff. The barrels are also under spell and if you tap the barrel in rhythm, it will open the slimy chute.

The Dark Room is where Dumbledore’s Army meets. It is where many of the battles take place in the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore argues in Harry’s defence. It also has floor cushions for defensive spells as well as volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.
