Harry Potter and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Founded by Salazar Slytherin, Slytherin was known for its self-preservation and ambition. Slytherin also earned a negative reputation for being self-centered and vicious. Slytherin actually made the most Death Eaters.

The common room of Slytherin was located beneath the Black Lake, and had rough stone walls and silver lamps hanging from the ceiling. It is famous for its beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Slytherin was a noble House, while Gryffindor was known for its rivalry with Slytherin. Hufflepuff, the least noble of the four houses was known for its virtues of loyalty, patience and hard work.

Library
