Hogwarts is among the most prestigious private boarding schools in the UK. The school is surrounded by the Forbidden Forest, which is sometimes called the Dark Forest.

Hogwarts is full of secrets. Some of these secrets are kept from view like the Chamber of Secrets. Other locations are well-known and widely used, such as the Leaky Cauldron restaurant and Gringotts Money Exchange.

Salazar Slytherin erected the Chamber of Secrets before he left Hogwarts. It was created to cleanse the school’s students who were Muggle-born. Voldemort believed that he had won the final battle and planned to force all of Hogwarts students into Slytherin. He died before he was able to finish his plan.

The Chamber of Secrets lies deep beneath Hogwarts school. It is the home of the old Basilisk. When Dumbledore’s Army is sacked the Chamber is left open. It also houses floor cushions that can be used to guard against Dark Detectors and defensive spells. The Chamber also houses an embodied memory from Tom Riddle, who was killed by Harry Potter.

Two serpents are also located in the Chamber of Secrets. They are carved into the solid wall of the Room. They have eyes that are emerald. They are believed to be summoned by Tom Riddle. They are also able to grow the Devil’s Snare, a large snake that can attack anyone who is in the Chamber. The Chamber is also home to a snake-scratching tap. Fang, a giant black boarhound, lives in the Chamber. He is friendlier than Mrs. Norris.

It is also under spell, so if you tap the barrel in rhythm it will open an edgy chute.

The Dark Room is where Dumbledore’s Army meets. It is also the location of many battles in the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore lays out his case for Harry’s defense. It also contains floor cushions for defensive spells and also volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.

There are also secret entrances to four dormitories of the House. They are also kept from outside and require a password or a ritual. These entrances are used by members of the House.
