The Sorting Hat is an enchanted and clever object. It was created by J.K. Rowling, and is a reference to the magician’s hat, which was owned by Godric Gryffindor. It is also used by Hogwarts’ Founders of Hogwarts to decide which students to place in their Houses.

The Sorting Hat can also be used to determine what house a student is best placed in. It is able to listen to the wearer’s thoughts and respond to wearer’s thoughts, and even talk to the wearer. It can be used to determine the House in which a student is from and also to present the Sword of Gryffindor only to those who have the qualifications.

Required Room
During Harry’s time at Hogwarts The Room of Requirement played a crucial role in the story. Aside from it providing Harry with his first (and last) Horcrux, it was also the place where Voldemort’s diadem, which was lost, was hidden. Hogwarts is a huge home for all students during the academic year. Students live in dormitories, and are able to sleep in huge four-poster beds. Professors teach students. Students are able to socialize at the tables of the House. There are also notice boards in strategic locations all around the school.

Library

Not only is it home to tens of thousands of books and other items, but it also has an area that is accessible only to students with written permission. This section is located on a lower floor.
