The Sorting Hat also performs many other functions, besides the simple task of determining which house a student should be assigned. It is able to read a wearer’s thoughts and respond to their thoughts. It is even able to speak to them. It is also used to determine which House students belong to, and to present the Sword of Gryffindor to those who are worthy of it.
Required Room
During Harry’s time at Hogwarts The Room of Requirement played a pivotal role in the series. It was not just the location where Harry obtained his first (and final) Horcrux, but it was also the place the location where Voldemort discovered his diadem that he had lost. The Room of Requirement was so mysterious that it took Dumbledore nearly a year to uncover its dark past.
The area is also home to an array of oddball artifacts like the Sorting Hat, a sapient artifact in its own right. The hat also houses a legilimen, which uses legitmization in order to read minds. Chapter House
Founded by Salazar Slytherin, Slytherin was known for its ambition and self-preservation. Slytherin was also known for its selfishness and ruthlessness. In reality, Slytherin produced the most Death Eaters.
The common room of Slytherin was situated below the Black Lake. It had rough stone walls and silver lamps that hung from its ceiling. It is famous for its breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Slytherin was an opulent House, and Gryffindor was known for its rivalry with Slytherin. Hufflepuff was the least noble of the four houses, was known for its values of loyalty, patience and hard work.

Professors teach students. There are tables in the House, where students can meet and socialize. There are also notice boards located in strategically placed locations around the school.
Library
The Library at Hogwarts is a excellent place to begin your Harry Potter journey, whether you are an avid Harry Potter enthusiast or just interested in the world of Harry Potter. It is home to thousands of books. However, it also has a section that is restricted to students who have provided written permission. This section is located on the lower level of the library.

The Chamber of Secrets was constructed by Salazar Slytherin, who was a student at Hogwarts. It was designed to rid Hogwarts of students born to the Muggle race. Voldemort believed that he had won the final battle and was planning to take all Hogwarts students into Slytherin. But he passed away before he was able to complete his plan.
The Chamber of Secrets lies deep beneath Hogwarts school. It is home to the old Basilisk. The Chamber is open when Dumbledore’s army gets betrayed. It also contains floor cushions that can be used to guard against Dark Detectors and defensive spells. The Chamber also houses an embodied memory from Tom Riddle, who was killed by Harry Potter.
Two serpents can also be found in the Chamber of Secrets. They have been carved into solid wall of the Room. They have eyes that are emerald. They are believed to have been summoned by Tom Riddle. They also have the ability to grow the Devil’s Snare, a large snake that attacks anyone who enters the Chamber. The Chamber also has a snake-scratching faucet. It also has the huge black boarhound Fang. Fang is more friendly than Mrs. Norris.
