It can be used to determine the House where a student is from and also to present the Sword of Gryffindor only to those who have the qualifications.

Required Room
The Room of Requirement was a crucial element of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. Apart from it providing Harry with his first (and last) horcrux It was also the place where Voldemort’s lost diadem was kept. The Room of Requirement was so obscure that it took Dumbledore almost a year to uncover its dark past.

Although this is a more difficult task than most wizards would like you to believe it is actually performed by a select few.

Salazar Slytherin created Slytherin. The founder of Slytherin was known to be ambitious and self-preservative. Slytherin was also known for its selfishness and ruthlessness. Slytherin actually made the most Death Eaters.

The common room of Slytherin was located beneath the Black Lake. It had rough stone walls and silver lamps hanging from its ceiling. It is famous for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Slytherin was an opulent House, and Gryffindor was well-known for its competition with Slytherin. Hufflepuff was the least noble of the four houses. It was known for its values in loyalty, patience , and hard work.

Hogwarts is the place where all students reside during the academic year. Students live in dormitories and sleep in large four-poster beds. Professors instruct students. Students can gather at the House tables. There are also notice boards located in strategic places all around the school.

Library

They also have the ability to grow the Devil’s Snare which is a large snake that is a threat to anyone who enters the Chamber. The Chamber is also home to the snake-scratching tap. It also houses the huge black boarhound Fang. Fang is more friendly than Mrs. Norris.

The Slytherin dormitory is located inside the dungeon. The room is adorned with carved armchairs and green. It also has the statue of Salazar Slytherin. The room is lit by green lamps and an eerie green glow.

The Hufflepuff dormitory has low ceilings and is a relaxing bright and sunny place. It has plants hanging from its ceiling. It also has a huge common room. The house animal is the badger. There are several shortcuts to get from the school to the castle. These are not always easy however. They are usually hidden behind tapestry or with a secret entrance. Some of these shortcuts are only known to members of the House. Behind barrels lies the secret entry point to Hufflepuff. It’s also under spell and when you tap the barrel in rhythm, it will open the slimy chute.

The Dark Room is where Dumbledore’s Army meets. It is the site of many battles in the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore fights for Harry’s defense. It has floor cushions for defensive spells, and also volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.

There are also secret access points to four House dormitories. These secret entrances are also secret from the outside world and require an account number and password. These entrances are only used by members of the House.
