Harry Potter and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

The Sorting Hat also serves many other functions, besides the decision of which house a student should be assigned. It is able to read the wearer’s mind and respond to wearer’s thoughts, and even talk to the wearer. It can also be used to determine the House in which a student is from and to present the Sword of Gryffindor only to those who are qualified.

Required Room
The Room of Requirement was a key element of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. It was not only the place where Harry got his first (and final) Horcrux, but it was also where Voldemort found his lost diadem. In actuality, the Room of Requirement was so mysterious that it took the best part of the year for Dumbledore to reveal its dark past.

The area is also home to an array of oddball artifacts, such as the Sorting Hat, a sapient artifact in its own right. The hat also houses a legilimen, which uses legitmization to read minds. While this is a trickier task than the majority of wizards would have you believe, it has been only performed by a few.

Chapter House
The organization was founded by Salazar Slytherin, Slytherin was known for its self-preservation and ambition. Slytherin was also known for being cruel and selfish. Slytherin actually produced the most Death Eaters.

The common room of Slytherin was located below the Black Lake, and had rough stone walls and silver lamps hanging from the ceiling. It is known for its beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Slytherin was a noble House and Gryffindor was famous for its rivalry with Slytherin. Hufflepuff is the most petty of the four houses was known for its virtues of loyalty, patience and perseverance.

Hogwarts is the school where students go to stay during the academic school year. Students reside in dormitories and sleep in four-poster beds. Students are taught by professors. There are tables in the House, where students are able to socialize. Notice boards are situated in strategic places around the school.

Library
Whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or simply interested in the world of magic The Library at Hogwarts has a lot to offer. Not only is it house to tens of millions of books and other items, but it also has an area which is only accessible to students who have signed permission. This section is located on a lower floor.

The library is divided into five stories and has shelves for books. The main room is the first. It is lit by natural light from stained and leaded glass windows. The ceiling is 65 feet high.

The second story is home to the headmaster’s office. It also houses the Charms classroom. The Reading Room is located on the third floor. Hogwarts, a magical school for young wizards is located in the Scottish Highlands. Founded in the 10th century it was established to protect wizards from Muggle persecution. Hogwarts is regarded as one of the oldest and most luxurious private boarding schools in the United Kingdom. The Forbidden Forest is a part of the school, often referred to as the Dark Forest.

Hogwarts is full of secrets. Some of them are not visible to the public such as the Chamber of Secrets. Other locations are well-known and well-used for example, the Leaky Cauldron restaurant and Gringotts Money Exchange.

The Chamber of Secrets was constructed by Salazar Slytherin prior to his departure from Hogwarts. It was designed to purge the school’s students who were Muggle-born. Voldemort believed he had won the final battle and intended to force all of Hogwarts students to Slytherin. He died before he could finish his plan.

The Chamber of Secrets is deep under Hogwarts the school. It is also the home to the ancient Basilisk. When Dumbledore’s army is betrayed the Chamber is left open. It has floor cushions to use defensive spells as well as Dark Detectors. The Chamber is also the home of an immortal memory of Tom Riddle, who was killed by Harry Potter.

The Chamber of Secrets is also the home of two serpents built into the wall of the Room. They have the eyes of emerald. They are believed to have been summoned by Tom Riddle. They are also able to create the Devil’s Snare, a large snake that is a threat to anyone who is in the Chamber. The Chamber also has an arachnid-scratching faucet. It is also home to the huge black boarhound Fang. He is more friendly than Mrs. Norris.

The Slytherin dormitory is situated inside the Dungeon. The room is lush with carved armchairs. It also has the statue of Salazar Slytherin. The room is furnished with green lamps and an eerie green glow.

The Hufflepuff dormitory has low ceilings and is a relaxing bright and sunny place. The plant life hangs from its ceiling. It also has a communal room. The House animal is the badger. The badger is believed to symbolize family gathering. Nearly headless Nick is also a ghost that haunts the House.

There are several shortcuts that can be utilized to get from the school up to the castle. These aren’t always readily accessible however. They are usually hidden behind tapestry or a hidden entrance. Some of these shortcuts are only available to members of the House. Behind barrels is the secret entry point to Hufflepuff. The barrels are also under spell and if you tap the barrel in a the right rhythm it will open up the slimy chute.

The Dark Room is where Dumbledore’s Army meets. It is where many of the battles are fought during the Harry Potter series. It is also where Dumbledore argues in Harry’s defence. It has floor cushions for defensive spells, and also volumes of Defence Against the Dark Arts.

There are also secret access points to four House dormitories. These are also hidden from outside and require a password or ritual. These entrances can only be used by members of the House.
