The Sorting Hat can be used to determine the house a student should live in. It is able to read a wearer’s mind and react to their thoughts. It can even speak to them. It is also used to determine the House a student belongs to, and to present the Sword of Gryffindor to those who are worthy.

Room of Requirement
During Harry’s time at Hogwarts The Room of Requirement played a pivotal role in the series. It was not only the place where Harry received his first (and final) Horcrux, but it was also the place where Voldemort discovered his diadem that he had lost. The Room of Requirement was so mysterious that it took Dumbledore nearly a year to discover its dark past.

The room also houses a range of odd artifacts, including the Sorting Hat, which is an ancient artifact. It also contains the legilimen, a device that uses legitmization in order to read minds. This is a challenging task, but it has been achieved by a few.

Chapter House

Library
The Library at Hogwarts is a ideal place to begin your Harry Potter journey, whether you are a Harry Potter fan or simply curious about the magical world. It is home to thousands of books. However, it also has a section that is restricted to students who have granted written permission. This section is located on the lower floor of the library.

It also contains floor cushions that can be used to protect against Dark Detectors and defensive spells. The Chamber also houses an embodied memory from Tom Riddle, who was murdered by Harry Potter.

The Chamber of Secrets is also home to two serpents, built into the wall of the Room. They have eyes that are emerald. They are believed to be summoned by Tom Riddle.
