Harry Potter and the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

It can be used to determine the House which a student comes from and to give the Sword of Gryffindor only to those who have the qualifications.

Required Room
During Harry’s time at Hogwarts The Room of Requirement played a pivotal role in the series. It was not only where Harry received his first (and final) Horcrux, but also where Voldemort found his lost diadem. The Room of Requirement was so obscure that it took Dumbledore nearly a year to discover its dark past.
