The Hufflepuff dormitory has low ceilings and is a comfortable, sunny space. It has plants hanging from the ceiling. It also has a common room. The badger is considered to be the House animal. It is believed that the badger symbolizes gathering family. Nearly headless Nick is also a ghost that haunts the House.

There are a few short-cuts to take you from the school to the castle. These are not always easy to find however. These are often hidden by tapestry or a secret entry. These shortcuts can only be accessed by House members. Behind barrels lies the secret entry point to Hufflepuff. It’s also under spell so if you tap the barrel in the same rhythm, it will open a slimy chute.
