It is able to read the wearer’s mind and respond to the wearer’s thoughts, and even talk to the wearer. It also helps determine the House the student is a member of and to present the Sword of Gryffindor to those who are worthy.

Room of Requirement
The Room of Requirement was a crucial part of Harry’s Hogwarts experience. Aside from the fact that it provided Harry with his first (and final) horcrux It was also the place where Voldemort’s lost diadem was kept. The Room of Requirement was so obscure that it took Dumbledore nearly a whole year to uncover its dark past.

The room also houses various odd-looking artifacts, including the Sorting Hat, a sapient artifact of its own. The hat also features the legilimen, which uses legitmization to read minds. This isn’t an easy task, but it has been achieved by a handful.

Chapter House
Established by Salazar Slytherin, Slytherin was known for its ambition and self-preservation. Slytherin also gained a bad reputation for being self-centred and vicious. In reality, Slytherin produced the most Death Eaters.

The common room of Slytherin was situated below the Black Lake. It had rough stone walls and silver lamps hanging from its ceiling. It is famous for its stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Slytherin was a noble House, while Gryffindor was famous for its rivalry with Slytherin. Hufflepuff, the least noble of the four houses was known for its virtues of loyalty, patience, and hard work.
